8. Marcus Mariota (2nd overall in 2015)

It felt like the Titans were onto the next era when they spent the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft on Marcus Mariota. The Oregon quarterback was coming off a season where he won the Heisman Trophy and Titans fans were excited to see what he was going to do in the pros.

While Mariota did help lead the Titans to the playoffs and a win over the Chiefs in the 2017 season, he never lived up to his first-round billing. Injuries definitely put a damper on his Titans career and after his time in Tennessee came to an end, he's mostly served as a backup, spending time with the Raiders, Falcons, and Eagles.

While Mariota wasn't a trainwreck by any means, he wasn't worthy of being drafted second overall so this feels like a fair place to rank him.

7. Treylon Burks (18th overall in 2022)

The Titans added help to their wide receiver room in the 2022 draft, and Treylon Burks was who they went with. The Arkansas product has been a bit of a disappointment two years into his career, tallying just 49 receptions for 665 yards and one touchdown in 22 games and 15 starts.

Of course, the Titans haven't had the most stable quarterback room over the past two years so it's not all on Burks but it's hard not to be a bit bummed with what Titans fans have seen from him so far. Hopfully, the 2024 season is when Burks becomes a scarier threat.
