Ranking the Top 5 Titans quarterbacks of all time
By Ryan Heckman
1. Warren Moon
Finally, we come to the Hall of Famer, Warren Moon. The 2006 HOF inductee is the Titans' all-time leading passer having thrown for 33,685 yards during his time with the Oilers. Moon tossed a Titans record 196 career touchdowns along with 166 interceptions. Moon compiled a career record of 70-69 as Houston's starter. He was the definition of, "let it fly."
Back in 1990 and 1991, Moon led the NFL in completions, attempts and passing yards, throwing for nearly 4,700 yards in each of those seasons. That 1990 campaign was the best all-around season of his career, when he threw for 4,689 yards, 33 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and averaged over 312 passing yards per game.
Moon would earn eight Pro Bowl honors in a row, with six of them coming before he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings in 1994.
In terms of the all-time greats, Moon ranks 13th in NFL history in pass attempts, pass completions and passing yards. He is also 16th all-time in touchdown passes. Many would also consider Moon to be one of the top three or four quarterbacks to never win a Super Bowl.
