Identifying the Tennessee Titans core players on offense after free agency
By Will Lomas
2. Calvin Ridley, WR
The Tennessee Titans aren't paying Ridley to have one great season, they are betting on him being a star for this team through at least 2026.
That was a bold move to some people, but it just makes sense when you think about it. People forget how good Ridley was because he was hurt in 2021 and then he was suspended for a year for gambling in 2022, but he showed up in a big way in 2023.
Not only did Ridley show that he was still a great receiver, but he led the Jacksonville Jaguars in receiving yards in his one season with the team. In fact, with injuries to Christian Kirk and Zay Jones as well as Evan Engram's struggles early in the season, Ridley ended up carrying that passing attack for most of the season.
Now Ridley is set to join the Tennessee Titans offense where he will be playing opposite DeAndre Hopkins in a scheme that knows exactly how to feature two star receivers. The arrow is pointing up for Ridley and he seems hungry to continue to prove that he is one of the league's best receivers.
