Former All-Pro is potentially a dark horse free agent target for Titans

We certainly wouldn't complain.

Even though most of the fun free agent craziness has long been over, it's never too late for an interesting signing or two. The Titans certainly did their fair share of free agent work this past March, bringing in multiple big name players to help first year coach Brian Callahan try and get off on the right foot.

But with a handful of impactful free agents still available, it's not hard to imagine the Titans making a few last moves before training camp gets underway in late July. One of those – according to The Draft Network, at least – could be a former All-Pro that would immediately help their defense.

The Draft Network woke up today and decided to find Shaquille Leonard a new team. It was very thoughtful of them, especially because they decided that, actually, the Titans are the move. (As well as the Rams and Bears, but whatever.)

The Titans arguably have the most unproven group of linebackers in the NFL. The team leader in 2023 tackles Azeez Al-Shaair departed in free agency. He was replaced by former first-round bust Kenneth Murray, who is a reclamation project. More concerning, he's also Tennessee's No. 1 linebacker. New defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson has his work cut out for him ... "

I wouldn't hate it! Leonard's definitely lost a step since his All-Pro days in Indianapolis, but he's still only 28, and who am I to say that he doesn't have a few good years left in the tank? I'd imagine that he's probably looking for a team that'll be playing in January and February, which isn't exactly the Titans' projection this year, but who knows. Shaq Leonard, if you're reading this and deciding between the Titans, Bears, and Rams, choose Tennessee. You (probably) won't regret it.
