DeAndre Hopkins, Wide Receiver
I wrote in detail how little I wanted the Tennessee Titans to trade DeAndre Hopkins a week ago, and that feeling is even stronger now after he showed that he had instant chemistry with Will Levis. Here were the key takeaways from that article:
"Speaking of trades that would hurt the team in the future, Hopkins is someone that teams seem to be calling about...
...If they were to move him, it absolutely has to be for a Day 2 pick. Eating his cap hit and then letting a better team make him look great for the next year and a half for a Day 3 pick would be embarrassing for Mike Vrabel and Ran Carthon."
The only thing from that article that I would change is that it should take a 1st round pick to trade for DeAndre Hopkins. On Sunday, he showed that he still has everything that made him an All-Pro for years and I think you probably want your young quarterback to have as many All-Pro receivers as you can get.
Luckily, it sounds like the Titans aren't interested in moving Hopkins and his name has basically been a non-starter at this point.
