ESPN boldly predicts that the Titans will sign this veteran WR
The Tennessee Titans are entering an important offseason. They're moving on from Mike Vrabel as their head coach and going with former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, who they're hoping will unleash second-year quarterback Will Levis to another level.
The Titans have some decent names for Levis to throw to but they need more help. Aaron Schatz of ESPN boldly predicted that Tennessee will sign former Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd.
"A big addition would be Boyd from the Bengals. He did not have an efficient year in 2023, but it was just two years ago that Boyd ranked second in DVOA among all receivers with at least 50 targets. He had at least 750 receiving yards in five straight years from 2018 to 2022 and would be a strong target underneath while Hopkins and Burks draw the defense's attention."

Titans should target Tyler Boyd in free agency
This would be a move that Titans fans could get down with. As Schatz mentioned, the 2023 season wasn't necessarily a big one for Boyd but he was terrific in the five years prior to that. In 2021 and 2022, Boyd finished with 828 yards and 762 yards respectively despite being Joe Burrow's third option behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
Boyd has shown that he can be a solid WR3 for an offense and with the Titans already having DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks, he'd be entering a familiar role and would have his former offensive coordinator now serving as his head coach. This makes perfect sense for both sides.
The Titans currently own the second-most cap space in the NFL so they'll be able to afford to pay Boyd well. He's projected to earn a three-year deal worth over $26 million with an annual salary of $8.7 million. Make it happen, Titans.
