The Tennessee Titans play the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday evening in their 2024 preseason debut. Training camp and exhibition contests offer back-end-of-roster players their best opportunity to convince front-office decision makers they belong on the 53-man roster. It also offers coaching and management an opportunity to sort through positional battles.

Last year, under-the-radar players such as Julius Chestnut, Otis Reese, Kearis Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Anthony Kendall, and Caleb Murphy used these exact opportunities to prove they belong. Some of those same talents are attempting to do the same thing this season.
