The Tennessee Titans held their first padded training camp practice on Tuesday morning. Throwing on the pads intensifies the contact and physical participation at camp. For example, defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons and first-round pick JC Latham kickstarted a bench-clearing scuffle.

Elsewhere, certain Titans players rose to the occasion and took advantage of their opportunity.
We've identified three standouts from Tuesday's padded training camp practice.

Calvin Ridley, WR

The defensive backs won the day with competitive shutdown reps versus the receivers, but Calvin Ridley was mostly exempt from their sticky coverage. Ridley showcased his route-running prowess with his signature stop-start quickness. On this rep, he puts cornerback Tre Avery in a blender.

Reps like that one are precisely why the Titans gave Ridley a $92 million contract this offseason. He's expected to be a big-time weapon for franchise quarterback Will Levis. Ridley has been an impressive practice performer all summer long.
