The Tennessee Titans are still reeling from news that starting outside linebacker Arden Key will be suspended for the first six games of the 2024 season. Key is being punished for allegedly violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. It represents a massive blow to a Titans defense that already lacked pass-rushing depth even with him factoring into the equation.

Shane Ray, Rashad Weaver, Thomas Rush, Caleb Murphy, Jaylen Harrell, and Khalid Duke are the remaining pass rushers on the roster now tasked with playing opposite Harold Landry. Ray has the most career sacks among the bunch given his experience, but he hasn't recorded a single quarterback takedown in the past six years. Weaver is the only other player on the list with a sack, and he has just 5.5 of them through three completed seasons.

General manager Ran Carthon must consider addressing the position via free agency. The Titans arguably needed another pass rusher even before Key was dinged for violating league policy. His absence now makes the position a big-time need.

Could one of these two free-agent veterans help?
