Depending on how fans view the NFL Draft and the needs for every team, you can always make a case on why a team would be a winner or loser. Whether it’s right after the first round, or even at the conclusion of the draft.

As for the Tennessee Titans, they will certainly be judged based on what they do with the No. 4 overall pick. With them already having Cam Ward at quarterback, Mike Borgonzi has a ton of routes he could go in order to continue building this roster. With a heavy focus on defense in free agency, some expect the Titans to draft a player on offense. Others might say keep building the defense.

Either way, this pick is a big one and what they decide to do with it will be very interesting. One scenario that could happen that has not been talked about a lot is the possibility of Borgonzi trading his first-round pick, and that scenario happened in a mock draft conducted by Tarringo Basile-Vaughan of NFL Mocks.

That may sound uneasy, but with what the Titans get in return and who they still draft would easily make the Titans a massive winner.

Mock draft shows how Titans can easily become Round 1 winner

In Basile-Vaughan's mock draft, the Titans trade the fourth pick to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for picks No. 10, No. 72 (3rd-round), and a 2027 2nd-round pick. With the 4th pick, the Bengals take Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles.

Later on at the 10th pick, the Titans still get the best player in this draft in running back Jeremiyah Love out of Notre Dame.

"Talk about playing the board perfectly, the Titans gain draft capital and still can draft a player they may have taken with the No. 4 overall pick.  The top running back and offensive playmaker in the draft, Jeremiyah Love brings an explosive aspect to the Titans’ offense and gives 2025 NFL Draft No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward another option on offense as the QB/RB tandem will have a chance to carry the Titans and new head coach Robert Saleh into the future." said Basile-Vaughan.

So to break it all down, the Titans trade back but still keep a top-10 pick, gain extra draft capital in 2026 and 2027, and still get the best running back in this draft by an absolute mile. Yeah, Borgonzi would get a ton of praise across the NFL world if this scenario came true.

It would be a huge risk for the Titans to trade out of the 4th pick, but sometimes in order to hit a home run, you have to take a risk.
