The Tennessee Titans are searching for their next head coach this offseason and, without a doubt, the best possible name available is John Harbaugh. The Ravens parted ways with Harbaugh after 18 years together and, while it made sense for the two to move on from one another and start fresh, Harbaugh is still very much worth pursuing.
The Titans might have been one of the worst teams in the league last year but the main thing they have going for them that some of the other openings don't is that they have their quarterback of the future. The Titans spent the first pick in last year's draft on Cam Ward and, while he had his ups and downs during his rookie year, he showed a ton of promise.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Harbaugh has reportedly taken an interest in Ward, meaning that he's also seemingly interested in the Titans. Russini reported that Harbaugh "is spending [Saturday] and the next few days watching film specifically on quarterbacks Jaxson Dart and Cam Ward." She also reported that Harbaugh has "also been in contact with team decision makers, while continuing to communicate with potential members of his own coaching staff.

This is a massive development for the Titans , who need to get this next head coach hire right. They swung and missed on Brian Callahan but realized it early on and made the decision to move on before the halfway point of the 2025 season. This time around, they know what they have in Ward and now need to find a head coach that can bring out the best in him. Harbaugh would be able to do just that.
Harbaugh was as consistent a head coach as there is during his time in Baltimore, only suffering through three losing seasons in his 18 years on the job (and one of those three losing seasons just happened in 2025). In other words, he knows how to run teams and could be the perfect option to come into Nashville and get this team back to being playoff contenders.
It's worth noting that Russini also linked Harbaugh to the Giants here, who also have a promising young quarterback in Jaxson Dart, so it's pretty clear that New York will be the Titans' biggest threat when it comes to Harbaugh. The Giants job is also appealing but hopefully, the Titans can find a way to make this work and get Harbaugh to Tennessee.
