The Tennessee Titans entered the 2026 NFL Draft needing to make up ground in the AFC South. After making eight successful selections, they believe they've improved the roster and are closer to completing the rebuild. The Jacksonville Jaguars' laughable draft class may help accelerate the process.

The Jaguars entered the NFL Draft without a first-round pick as a result of last year's aggressive trade-up for Travis Hunter Jr. General manager James Gladstone made a gamble that is aging poorly, with Hunter suffering a season-ending injury, paired with rumors swirling he may be a full-time cornerback instead of the generational two-way prospect he was touted to be.

Nonetheless, the Jaguars needed to efficiently maneuver the draft given their lack of premium capital. Well, Gladstone did the opposite of that. The Jaguars reached for prospects far earlier than the consensus expected them to be drafted, and Titans fans are enjoying the fallout.

The Tennessee Titans need to make the most of the Jacksonville Jaguars' NFL Draft blunders

The Jaguars drafted blocking Texas A&M tight end Nate Boerkircher at No. 56 overall. In five seasons of college football with the Aggies and Nebraska, Boerkircher never recorded 200 receiving yards in a single campaign. That's an astounding decision to make with your first draft selection.

Jacksonville's reaches didn't stop there. Their next pick was Texas A&M defensive tackle Albert Regis at No. 81 overall. Regis was the 132nd ranked prospect on Dane Brugler's The Beast draft guide. At No. 100, Gladstone selected Bruglet's 215th ranked prospect in Maryland safety Jalen Huskey.

The Jaguars earned a "C" in ESPN's draft grades. Pro Football Focus assigned them a D+. You'd be hard-pressed to find any mainstream media publication that actually enjoyed the Jaguars' draft. Gladstone is being destroyed for ignoring the consensus and reaching for prospects 1-3 rounds too early.

The Titans have finished dead-last in the AFC South in consecutive seasons. They're rebuilding a roster that's beginning to look significantly healthier under Mike Borgonzi and Robert Saleh. Catching up the Jaguars may be easier than first glance suggests after the disaster-class Gladstone oversaw during the NFL Draft.
