The Tennessee Titans claimed their first victory of the 2026 season, beating the Indianapolis Colts 26-20 in Week 6. Meanwhile, familiar faces are both thriving and struggling around the league.

The rebuilding Titans have undergone a significant amount of roster turnover in recent offseasons. That means various former players are in big roles elsewhere.

Let's check in on some former Titans and how they performed this past week. Spoiler: Several ex Titans are developing elsewhere, while others continue struggling.

Chig Okonkwo finally breaks out with the Commanders

The Washington Commanders signed former Titans TE Chig Okonkwo to a three-year, $27 million contract in free agency. It had been a difficult start for the athletic pass catcher, but he finally broke out versus the San Francisco 49ers in primetime. Following a serious injury to WR Terry McLaurin, Okonkwo caught all seven of his receiving targets for 69 yards.

Treylon Burks momentarily elevates, but familiar injury woes strike again

Former Titans first-round bust Treylon Burks also benefited from the McLaurin injury. The former Arkansas standout posted a season-high four receptions for 66 yards. The oft-injured Burks eventually picked up an injury of his own, but has the Commanders' Week 7 bye week to rest up.

Mike Vrabel picks up third consecutive win

Mike Vrabel's New England Patriots claimed their third consecutive victory in Week 6, improving to 4-2. The Patriots began the campaign 1-2, but have quickly turned their season around. Vrabel, who advanced to the Super Bowl last season, continues to advance while the Titans flounder.

T'Vondre Sweat not making a big enough impact

The Titans' decision to trade third-year nose tackle T'Vondre Sweat was met with mixed reviews. In truth, he's making a minimal impact for the New York Jets thus far. He's never been an impactful pass rusher, and currently ranks 63rd among 81 qualifying DTs in pressure percentage, per Next Gen Stats. Sweat's current PFF grade (70.9) is the lowest of his career.

Jarvis Brownlee is playing replacement-level football

Jets cornerback Jarvis Brownlee is playing replacement-level football. Titans fans overreacted to trading him due to character concerns last season. PFF has Brownlee allowing 18 receptions for two touchdowns in coverage. He doesn't have any interceptions or pass breakups, and has been whistled for one penalty. He was also momentarily benched for D'Angelo Ponds in Week 6.

A.J. Brown returns to Patriots lineup, has inefficient day

A.J. Brown returned to the Patriots' lineup in Week 6 after missing Weeks 2-5 on IR. His reunion with Coach Vrabel hasn't gone according to plan yet. Brown had an inefficient performance versus the Jets this past weekend, hauling in three receptions on 10 targets for 27 yards. The Patriots tried force-feeding him the ball, to no avail.
