It's safe to assume the 3-8 Tennessee Titans made a few mistakes throughout the offseason. General manager Ran Carthon and head coach Brian Callahan had an incredibly busy summer in the roster personnel department, making an abundance of moves that began putting their thumbprints on this new era of Titans football. While many of their offseason acquisitions have played admirably, one or two holdovers from the previous regime slipped through the cracks.

With the Holidays having us in the mood for reflection, we've identified three former Titans the franchise regrets parting ways with.

Elijah Molden, S

Rotational safety Elijah Molden felt slighted when the team acquired veterans Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams in the offseason. Downgraded to the No. 4 safety on the depth chart, Molden requested a trade. The Titans granted his wish, dealing him to the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for future late-round draft compensation.

The Titans caught bad luck with Diggs, who has since suffered a season-ending injury. The Adams signing was a disaster, and he's since been released from his contract after complaining about playing time. Meanwhile Molden has played a keynote role for the 7-4 Chargers, totaling 50 tackles, three interceptions, and six pass breakups to date.

Hassan Haskins, RB

The Titans are the worst special teams unit in the league. Weekly breakdowns currently have the Titans allowing a league-worst 578 yards via punt returns. Colt Anderson's unit looks totally lost on a game-by-game basis, taking poor angles in return coverage while losing contain and displaying shotty tackling.

One of the players the Titans released at final cuts was running back Hassan Haskins. One of their better special teams performers, the Titans opted to keep Julius Chestnut, the better running back on offense, over him. Chestnut has contributed to a few special teams breakdowns, and Haskins latched on with the Chargers, where he's logged 196 snaps in the third phase for Jim Harbaugh's disciplined unit.

Denico Autry, DL

The ageless Denico Autry has recorded three sacks in six appearances with the Houston Texans this season. Autry was suspended to begin the campaign, which has limited his impact. Now that he's returned, his pass-rushing upside has routinely been on display.

The Titans are meanwhile struggling to apply consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks. They've accumulated a 25th-ranked 24 sacks this season. Dennard Wilson's unit could have used a third pass rusher of Autry's quality this year.
