Every now and then in the NFL, things can get a little weird. That's what all fans, Tenessee Titans fans included, love about this league. The unexpected is always just a play away from happening.

Although the expectations for this Titans team aren't necessarily sky-high, there is still reason for hope, and a lot of that begins and ends with rookie quarterback and no. 1 overall pick Cameron Ward. With his dual skillset, too, he's a big play waiting to happen at any given moment. But, could his skill set also set the table for something odd and out-of-nowhere to happen?

Between this first Ward prediction and a couple of others, we tried our hand at predicting a few weird happenings for the Titans in 2025.

These weird Titans predictions actually have a chance at happening

Cameron Ward finishes the season with a receiving touchdown

A little-known fact: Ward caught a touchdown in his final season with the Hurricanes.

That's the only basis to go on, here, really. These are supposed to be weird (and somewhat bold) predictions, so let's roll with that. Along with scoring through the air and with his legs, this year, Ward will catch a touchdown pass as a rookie.

Now, the question becomes: who will throw it?

Jeffery Simmons leads the Titans defense in sacks

Last year's Titans sack leader happened to be Harold Landry, who is no longer here, and he had 9.0. The next-closest was Arden Key with 6.5 Back in 2021, Simmons finished with 8.5 sacks, and the year after he had 7.5. He is a capable pass rusher from the interior, and with the edge position still being of need in Tennessee, we could see Simmons back up towards that eight or nine number and lead the team.

Titans finish with a better road record than home

Just a quick glance at the schedule, and you will find some tough games at home for the Titans. They have the Rams, Chargers, Seahawks, Chiefs and Texans at home this year. It's not far fetched to think the Titans lose all five of those games and end up going 3-6 or worse at home, considering divisional opponents as well.

On the road, the Titans take on the Jaguars, Browns, Colts, Cardinals and Raiders. Now, teams are much different than they were a year ago. But, those games each have a reason to feel winnable. This isn't to say the Titans will win them all, nor is it saying the Titans end up winning seven or eight games this year.

But, at the end of the season, it wouldn't be surprising to see a better road record than home record for Tennessee.
