The Tennessee Titans reached a new low on Sunday when they suffered a 26-0 shutout defeat to the Houston Texans in Week 4. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward and the offense put forth another abysmal performance. The Titans failed to score for the first time in four campaigns, as their last shutout defeat occurred at Denver in 2019.

Head coach Brian Callahan handed over play-calling duties to quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree prior to Sunday's game in Houston. The Titans responded by gaining 175 yards of offense. It marked the second time in four games the Titans offense has been held under 200 yards.

Ward completed 10-of-26 passing attempts for 108 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. His 38.5% completion percentage was a season-low, as was his 35.4 quarterback rating. Ward had some choice words for his performance and the offense following Sunday's embarrassment.

Titans rookie QB Cam Ward uses multiple expletives to describe nightmare offensive performance in Week 4

"If we keep it a buck right now, we're a**," Ward said about the offense. "We're 0-4. We have nothing to lose at this point. We've dropped a quarter of our f*****g games. We have to lock in, especially myself."

The Titans are a hapless 0-4. Coach Callahan is undeniably on the hot seat with fans and national analysts calling for his firing. Following Sunday's defeat, Callahan's offense became one of 10 since 2000 to score 51-or-fewer points while averaging 3.7-or-less yards per play through Week 4, per Zach Lyons.

Following Sunday's embarrassment, the Titans rank 32nd in total yards (210.5), passing yards (123.5), and points scored (12.8) per contest. Ward's harsh words offered an accurate reflection of how disastrous the offense is currently performing. If Ward and the entire offense don't improve soon, Callahan's dismissal should be imminent.
