AFC contender urged to make bold trade for Will Levis

It is 100 percent safe to say that Cam Ward is the future of the Tennessee Titans and the door has slamed shut on Will Levis' future with the organization. It's only a matter of time.

One NFL expert seems to believe the time is now, and that the Pittsburgh Steelers should be the team who swoops in to snag Levis off the Titans' roster.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton made the suggestion, recently, for the Steelers to make a move to acquire Levis.

"In seven seasons, Mason Rudolph has been a game manager. At 25, Levis, with his big arm and mobility, has far more upside," Moton wrote.

Oh, right. The move would reunite Rudolph and Levis ... awkward?

A Steelers-Will Levis trade could happen no matter what takes place with Aaron Rodgers

"Regardless of Aaron Rodgers' decision to play for the Steelers or retire, Pittsburgh should offer a fourth-round pick for Levis," Moton hypothesized.

The Steelers are, of course, awaiting the decision of veteran Aaron Rodgers. Many believe he'll end up signing with Pittsburgh and go on to be their starter for 2025. But, that's probably it.

For one, this would be extremely generous on the Steelers' behalf. Sure, Levis is a former second-round pick. But, what he has shown in two seasons is worth no where near a fourth rounder.

Let's say the Steelers make the offer.

Tennessee should accept without hesitation. They don't have any future plans for Levis outside of a possible backup to Ward, and a backup quarterback can be had at less than the price of a fourth-round pick.

That'd be a dream for the Titans. To be able to recoup some of the capital from the Levis miss might be a priority for Mike Borgonzi. But, to be able to land a pick that high in exchange for someone who is not only separate from the team's future plans but also essentially a bust?

That's a massive win right there. It's a move Borgonzi would be silly not to make.
