The Tennessee Titans dropped their fourth consecutive contest to begin the 2026 season, losing 24-18 to the Baltimore Ravens. At 0-4, the Titans are tied at the bottom of the NFL standings. They are serious contenders for the No. 1 overall pick.
It was the Titans' third straight one-possession defeat. Robert Saleh's Titans are showing more competitive spirit than Brian Callahan's team ever did. Nonetheless, the losses keep stacking.
We've identified three winners and three losers from the Titans' Week 4 shortcoming. Several veterans struggled. One rookie enjoyed his breakout performance. Let's analyze!
3 winners and 3 losers from Titans' Week 4 loss to Ravens
Winner: WR Carnell Tate
Titans fans rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate broke out on tape against the New York Giants last week. Well, the box-score breakout definitely arrived this week. The fourth overall selection was Cam Ward's dominant target hog, hauling in nine receptions for 145 yards. He was consistently open and also drew a few defensive penalties in the secondary through his route-running prowess.
It wasn't a perfect afternoon for Tate. The former Ohio State standout lost a crucial fumble after an explosive 35-yard gain in the second quarter as the Titans were attempting to mount something meaningful. Nonetheless, it was a breakout performance for Tennessee's WR1.
Loser: RB Tony Pollard
Veteran running back Tony Pollard made a costly mistake two offensive plays into the contest. After a 40-yard kickoff return by Chimere Dike and subsequent 15-yard pass to Dike, Ward flipped an off-script pass to Pollard while in the grasp of a defender. The lead back let a catchable pass slip through his fingertips into the waiting hands of a Ravens defender for an interception.
The Titans later called four consecutive Pollard runs, starting with first-and-goal from the Ravens' 8-yard line. Pollard was stuffed all four times. His 3.0 yards per attempt was a season-low mark.
Loser: OC Brian Daboll
Speaking of those four consecutive runs to Pollard inside the 10-yard line, it was offensive coordinator Brian Daboll who called them. The fourth-down playcall was especially deplorable. The Titans went wildcat formation despite the same design failing miserably on a 3rd-and-goal last weekend. Daboll's offense continues to be maddeningly inconsistent.
Winner: RT JC Latham
Titans offensive tackle JC Latham continues to play at an All-Pro level. The third-year tackle is definitely in the midst of a breakout, career-defining season. Ward was only sacked once and it didn't occur until the two minute warning in the fourth quarter. Latham pitched another shutout in pass protection, allowing zero sacks or pressures. He's becoming one of Tennessee's best players.
Winner: DE Jermaine Johnson II
Titans defensive end Jermaine Johnson played his best game in Tennessee. He recorded his first sack of 2026 on a takedown that injured Lamar Jackson's ankle. Johnson was also a force multiplier in the run game, contributing to an effort that limited former Titan Derrick Henry to 73 yards on 23 carries (3.2 YPC).
Loser: LB Cody Barton
Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle did a nice job getting playmakers like Zay Flowers aligned opposite Robert Saleh's slowest defender, veteran linebacker Cody Barton. Pro Football Focus tagged Barton with allowing five receptions in coverage on five targets. It passed the eye test, as Flowers particularly abused him on one explosive play.
