First-round results

If the Titans trade down to 31, they get the benefit of staying in the first round, but the risk is that they have to wait for 30 players to come off the board before they get their chance to make a pick. They would only make this trade if the board fell right for them and if Linderbaum was still on the board to entice the Cincinnati Bengals to move up.

It took a few tries, but here is a top-25 where a trade down made sense:

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Aidan Hutchinson EDGE, Michigan

2. Detroit Lions: Malik Willis QB, Liberty

3. Houston Texans: Travon Walker EDGE, Georgia

4. New York Jets: Evan Neal OT, Alabama

5. New York Giants: Icky Ekwonu OL, North Carolina State

6. Carolina Panthers: Charles Cross OT, Mississippi State

7. New York Giants: Jermaine Johnson EDGE, Florida State

8. Atlanta Falcons: Kayvon Thibodeaux EDGE, Oregon

9.  Seattle Seahawks: Sauce Gardner CB, Cincinnati

10. New York Jets: Derek Stingley Jr. CB, LSU

11. Washington Commanders: Garrett Wilson WR, OSU

12. Minnesota Vikings: Kyle Hamilton S, Notre Dame

13. Houston Texans: Trevor Penning OT, Northern Iowa

14. Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Davis DT, Georgia

15. Philadelphia Eagles: Andrew Booth CB, Clemson

16. New Orleans Saints: Drake London WR, USC

17. L.A. Chargers: Devonte Wyatt DL, Georgia

18. Philadelphia Eagles: Jameson Williams WR, Alabama

19. New Orleans Saints: Bernhard Raimann OT, Central Michigan

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kenny Pickett QB, Pittsburgh

21. New England Patriots: Trent McDuffie CB, Washington

22. Green Bay Packers: Perrion Winfrey DL, Oklahoma

23. Arizona Cardinals: George Karlaftis EDGE, Purdue

24. Dallas Cowboys: Zion Johnson iOL, Boston College

25. Buffalo Bills: Kaiir Elam CB, Florida

26. Cincinnati Bengals: Tyler Linderbaum C, Iowa

A trade down makes sense here because the Tennessee Titans need five players left on the board that they would feel comfortable drafting at 31.

In this scenario, Chris Olave, Kenyon Green, Jahan Dotson, Treylon Burks, and Skyy Moore are all on the board so no matter what they will end up with one of those players and they will probably have a chance to pick between a few of them.

So, who did I pick?
