X factors for the Titans vs. the Bengals: Kicker, Randy Bullock

The Titans had a terrific season. When the dust settles, they’ll be able to look back on their year and be proud. But, if they ultimately don’t get it done, it’ll be a disappointment.

There are a ton of names on this list that can, and most likely will, contribute in a major way during their postseason run. But none of those aforementioned players can swing the postseason fortunes of the Titans like kicker Randy Bullock.

His season as a whole was a bit disappointing. Bullock ranked 20th in field goal percentage at 83.9%. He also wasn’t automatic when it comes to nailing extra points. His 93.3% in that category checks in at just 21st.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill isn’t known for throwing a ton of touchdowns, registering only 21 during the regular season. Also, even with running back Derrick Henry returning to action, it’s yet to be seen if he can return to form.

The Titans will have a feeling of apprehension every time Bullock steps onto the field but if he knocks down a few timely kicks during their divisional showdown against the Bengals, Tennessee fans will be as happy as can be.
