Ranking the best landing spots Harold Landry III: 3. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers were one of the worst offenses in the league this season. Although fans of the franchise love Ben Roethlisberger and appreciate him for leading them to three Super Bowl appearances and two Lombardi trophies, a part of them has to be jumping for joy since this appears to be his final season.

No longer is Ben able to push the ball the field, and the Steelers 222.2 passing yards per game is very much putrid. Things won’t get better for the Steelers immediately once Ben leaves town so fans shouldn’t be hoping for an offensive explosion. Instead, they’ll be pinning their hopes and dreams to the defensive side of the ball.

By the time their season came to an end this year, the Steelers were known as the best team in terms of sacking the QB, leading the entire NFL with 55.

T.J. Watt, arguably the best defensive player in the league, fought through double and triple teams all year long. As a result, he’s now tied with Michael Strahan with 22.5 sacks, the most in history. The second-highest total on the Steelers was Cameron Heyward with 10. If it’s possible, the Steelers should do everything they can to get their hands on Landry. Imagine having both Landry and Watt chasing after the quarterback. If that becomes a reality, the Steelers will have one of the best defenses in the league for years to come.
