Ranking the best landing spots Harold Landry III: 5. Philadelphia Eagles

It’s easy to point at the Philadelphia Eagles and say that they badly need the services of Harold Landry. They strung together the second-lowest sack total on the year with 29 and none of their players were able to come reasonably close to recording double-digits in that regard.

But while it’s clear that Landry can help increase their sack total, more than anything, Landry would be the perfect fit for what the Eagles are trying to do.

The Eagles franchise has kept a close eye on quarterback Jalen Hurts. Although he’s had his moments, finishing the year with 3,144 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, the brain trust doesn’t appear to be completely sold on him.

The Eagles did their best to keep him out of harm’s way. They continually rushed the ball and finished the season with 159.7 yards per game, ten yards more than the second-place Indianapolis Colts.

It’s clear that the Eagles simply want to control the ball and keep opposing teams on the sidelines, with the help of Landry, he can become a major key to that game plan as he stalks QBs all game long.
