4.15 sacks from the free-agent trio (Denico Autry, Bud Dupree, Ola Adeniyi)

Bud Dupree took a lot of flak earlier in the season because people wanted him to come out of the gate as a double-digit pass rusher who was on his way to breaking records. However, Dupree has always been a force-multiplier and not a guy who is going to get DPOY votes.

Also, Dupree was still recovering from an ACL injury that he suffered in 2020 and that injury takes at least 18 months to fully recover from. Despite that, he has had 3 sacks in his last 5 games including back-to-back games with sacks.

Now that the Dupree slander is taken care of, let’s talk about the star of the 2021 free agency class: Denico Autry.

As of right now both Dupree and Autry are on the COVID list which is the only thing keeping this milestone from being a lock. That is in large part because Autry has racked up 8 sacks of his own including three-straight games with a sack.

Those two have combined for 11 sacks this year and that total goes up to 13.5 when you add the diamond in the rough of this free agency class, special teams star, and rotational pass rusher Ola Adeniyi.

Can these three combine for 1.5 more sacks before the season is through? The smart money says yes, but COVID is making it difficult to predict.
