The Titans look to rebound after their bye week and do so against the Jaguars, and Titan Sized brings you your betting odds, injuries and much more.

It’s a good thing the Tennessee Titans are coming off a bye week after a two-game skid that saw their hold on the AFC South take a bit of a hit with the suddenly surging Indianapolis Colts, now only two games behind in the loss column with five weeks left to play.

And it’s also good Tennessee gets to come off that bye week, after adding former Houston Texans linebacker Zach Cunningham by the way, by hosting the two-win Jacksonville Jaguars in what should be phrased as a total “get right” game for head coach Mike Vrabel and Co.

Let’s put this bluntly: The Jags are atrocious, and Tennessee had little trouble mauling its division rivals earlier this season back in Week 5 by a score of 37-19.

Granted, that was before running back Derrick Henry went down with his foot injury, and Tennessee has yet to fully adjust to his absence.

Still, Jacksonville shouldn’t offer up much of a problem, and that could also be magnified by Vrabel’s squad actually getting healthier after the bye.

Titans injury report vs. Jaguars for Week 14

Yes, Tennessee’s injury report is substantially shorter than it’s been in recent weeks:

  • TE Tommy Hudson (ankle): OUT
  • CB Jackrabbit Jenkins (ankle): OUT
  • LB David Long, Jr. (hamstring): OUT
  • DT Teair Tart (ankle): OUT

True, Henry and wide receivers Julio Jones and A.J. Brown are still on injured reserve, as is EDGE Bud Dupree. But it’s good to get linebackers Harold Landry III and Rashaan Evans back into the fray, as both appear to have cleared their respective injury designations.

Perhaps that defensive prowess will be more than enough to offset whatever the Jaguars try to do on Sunday.

Titans vs. Jaguars odds, spread, over/under & betting pick Week 14

Sure, it still might be challenging for Tennessee’s offense sans Henry, Jones and Brown. Yet that hasn’t changed the oddsmakers from siding heavily on the home team’s favor.

According to the oddsmakers over at WynnBET, Tennessee is a 9.5-point favorite for this Week 14 tilt, down half a point from the opening line but still an impressive spread. And since double-digit lines can be dangerous, perhaps this will entice the moneyline for Tennessee (currently at -420) to change a bit, too.

The Jags’ moneyline right now is +335, while the over/under is 44.0.

While it might be enticing to see Jacksonville cover, let’s go with a home-team convincing win of 24-13.

Titans next game and schedule

After Week 14, Tennessee enters its home stretch of games that could be crucial in determining just how high it gets in the AFC playoff picture, and there are certainly some notable challenges, including a regular-season closer against one of those teams who beat the Titans earlier this season, the Houston Texans.

Hopefully not again, though.
