Tennessee Titans trade targets from the Detroit Lions

Halapoulivaati Vaitai, offensive line

The Tennessee Titans could use some offensive line depth behind the starters. While Aaron Brewer, Dillon Radunz, and Corey Levin are a good trio of backups, the Titans should be able to see that they can’t trust any of the starters to stay fully healthy or a full game (except maybe David Quessenberry).

With a few extra spots available on the active roster, trading for Vaitai makes sense if you can get the Lions to eat some of the cap space.

Defensive assistant Jim Schwartz spent time with Vaitai in Philadelphia and he has seen the utility that Vaitai has. So far he has snaps at guard and at both tackle spots, and with Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker set to anchor the outside for a while, why not try to pick up a draft pick by sending Vaitai off to Tennessee?

If I had my preference I would just use Dillon Radunz as the team’s backup tackle, but it seems like Mike Vrabel is too nervous to do that for some reason so maybe this would keep Bobby Hart from playing snaps again.
