Tennessee Titans trade targets from the New York Giants

Kaden Smith, tight end

The New York Giants are strange because they do have some really talented players on their roster like Leonard Williamson, Saquon Barkley, James Bradberry, etc. but no one that would really make sense for the Tennessee Titans to try to buy low on.

I wouldn’t expect Jon Robinson to be on the phone very long before realizing that there isn’t going to be an easy fit here, but one player that could be interesting is Kaden Smith.

Stanford tight ends are expected to block at the college level and that shows in what he has done since he joined the Giants.

As much as the Titans coaches may like Geoff Swaim or like the idea of Anthony Firkser becoming a balanced tight end, the fact is that Swaim is just a guy and that Firkser is being wasted when he is asked to block.

MyCole Pruitt has done a really good job this season and bringing in Smith would give the Titans another blocking tight end with a very similar skillset.

Tennessee clearly wants nine guys on the field who can block and help create creases for Derrick Henry and that fits Smith’s style of play.
