Some of the reserves played outstanding for the Tennessee Titans in Week 5.

Hopefully, we’ll reach the end of the Tennessee Titans‘ regular season and that game versus the New York Jets wouldn’t have cost them too much. You never know though. Five games into the season, a 3-2 win-loss total makes the mind wander.

It’s unexplainable losses like Tennessee’s snafu versus Gang Green that wind up being the reason that a good team plays a playoff game in the Wild Card Round on the road as opposed to playing one at home. Fortunately, divisional wins do the exact same thing.

Two of Tennessee’s six annual games versus the AFC South are in the books, and the Titans boast wins over both the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. If the season ended today, the Titans would indeed host that playoff game at home.

We’re a long way from discussing the NFL Playoffs though. This is a week-to-week league, and next up for the Titans is a tough one versus the leaders of the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills.

Buckle up. This next week of football is going to be intense, but before we start talking about that, let’s give one last tip of the cap to Week 5.

Tennessee took care of business. Sure, they beat a team that they were supposed to win against, but a win is a win. Here are three game balls for three guys who don’t often get the shine but helped make that win happen. Trust and believe the fact that the Titans are appreciative of their contribution to the W.
