1. Can the Tennessee Titans defense step it up?

Through 2 weeks of football, the Titans’ defense is bottom-five in passing yards allowed. The Titans are letting their opponents throw for 300 yards on average thus far.

Granted, these games were against Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson, two of the more dynamic passers in the league currently. Luckily, the Colts have no such dynamic passer on the roster.

Even if Carson Wentz ends up under center, he has looked very pedestrian through the first two weeks of the NFL season. It has been reported that Brett Hundley has been taking the majority of first-team reps at QB for the Colts, which should have the Titans defenders salivating.

Hundley started 9 games for the Packers in 2017, with very mediocre results. There is no reason to expect the Colts’ offense to put up points with Hundley under center.

Factor in that the Colts will be without T.Y. Hilton, who has given the Titans fits over the years, and Parris Campbell, and whoever suits up as QB for the Colts will have limited options to throw to.

Many Titan fans are rightfully concerned about the defense. Look to this game as a potential get-right game for the unit. If the defense enjoys a solid game this week, they have two consecutive games against inferior opponents in the Jaguars and Jets to continue that momentum.
