Can the Tennessee Titans ride the momentum from a big Week 2 win?
After a thrilling overtime win in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, the Tennessee Titans will welcome the division rival Indianapolis Colts to Nashville for Week 3’s game.
With Indianapolis stumbling out of the gate, the Titans will look to gain a crucial leg up in the division. Add to this the fact that the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans are looking to be factored into the AFC South’s divisional race, and this game becomes all the more important.
However, defeating the Colts has not traditionally been an easy task for the two-tone blue. Since taking over as head coach before the 2018 season, Mike Vrabel is 2-4 against Tennessee’s rivals. Things are different now, however. The Colts are dealing with injuries up and down the roster, and may potentially resort to starting the current third-string QB this weekend.
This is a game that assuredly will make Titans’ fans nervous. Coming off of a big win versus a good team, the Titans are known to put out a stinker. There are also reasons to be of the opinion that this week will buck that trend, as long as a few things go right.
Let’s take a look at a few things that will need to go right for the Titans to come away with a big divisional win in Week 3.
