NFL Power Rankings: Carson Wentz ranks 2nd among AFC South QBs

Regardless of how old you are, you could live to see 100 years of age and you might, never again, see a grown man sprain both ankles at the same time. The curious case of Carson Wentz and his body continues.

So far, the Wentz Wagon’s ride through its new city hasn’t produced any fruit, at least not any fruit that any of us want to partake of. Sure, Carson has had his moments, but the same issues that existed in Philadelphia with the Eagles seem to have followed him to his new home with the Indianapolis Colts.

Carson Wentz has completed 45 of 69 pass attempts on the season, and the result has been 498 passing yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Sure, that 3-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio is what you want, but so far, he’s winless in two attempts.

Is he the man to lead Indy into the future? We don’t know that yet. What we do know is he’s taking a beating, just like Andrew Luck did. We’ll know more about him following Indy’s game versus the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.

Come on you know the guy’s going to play right? Say what you will about Carson Wentz. The one thing you’ll never say is the guy isn’t tough. We should all look forward to a QB duel starring this guy and the next man on our list.
