Perhaps you’ve heard about the Tennessee Titans’ biggest star?
When you hear the ‘King’ nickname being thrown around in Nashville, you’re probably discussing one individual. Sure. they could be talking about Elvis Presley. Heck, people may even be mentioning Michael Jackson, but these days, more than likely, whenever someone is referred to as the ‘King’, you’re probably talking about Tennessee Titans star running back Derrick Henry, and for good reason.
Perhaps you’ve heard. The Titans star has made quite a name for himself. Taken 45th-overall in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft (he was actually the fourth player that Tennessee took in that year’s selection meeting), we can safely state that the decision has worked out pretty well for the franchise.
Derrick Henry is the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year and a two-time defending rushing touchdowns and rushing yards champion. He’s been voted to the last two Pro Bowl rosters, and following the 2020 NFL season, he was also a First-Team All-Pro and a member of the 2,000-yard club.
Yes, Henry is special. The question that sometimes gets asked is how long might he keep this up? Well, no one knows the answer to that, but here’s what we do know. The King isn’t on the decline yet. Another phenomenal year could be on the way. Here are two reasonable expectations for Derrick Henry during the 2021-2022 NFL season.
