Let’s get something straight. If Logan Woodside is left off of this Tennessee Titans roster, it won’t be because he can’t play, but let’s not analyze him through rose-colored lenses either.

Depending on which areas of the Twitterverse that you hang around in, you’ve, no doubt, seen some disparaging remarks about the former seventh-round selection from Toledo, but even though there are members of Titans nation that are ready to give the backup quarterback job to Matt Barkley, Woodside did what’s been done all preseason during Tennessee’s finale versus the Chicago Bears. He clouded the picture.

Then, he made things hard on himself.

Buckle up Titans fans! Logan Woodside might be your guy!

Tennessee has some important decisions to make once we reach the NFL deadline for NFL teams to trim their roster to the league-mandated 53-man version. Whether or not they carry two quarterbacks or three will definitely factor into their thinking, as will the decision about whether or not the backup quarterback job should belong to Woodside or Barkley.

Based on what’s been said on social media (if you pay attention to that stuff), some of you aren’t members of the Logan Woodside fan club, but that’s okay! He’s a gamer.

As was the case versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee altered snaps between Woodside and Matt Barkley. The latter’s night versus Chicago began with a drive that ended with a punt and another that saw Barkley throw a beautiful pass to Danny Trevathan. The problem is Trathan plays for the wrong team.

Woodside looked decisive, but he also made mistakes. He stood in the pocket and took hits while delivering the ball on a few plays that helped keep Titans drives going. he also led Tennessee to their first touchdown, but he threw a bad-looking interception, a pick-six as a matter of fact to Tre Roberson. That one helped even the score at seven. Ouch

Closing statements are being made. The jury is close to deliberation. The verdict will come next week, but for now, the battle between Barkley and Woodside remains one of the more interesting in the Titans preseason finale.
