Now, while the struggles of an offensive line may have had something to do with this, Brian Hill, someone we all expected a lot from, like Fitzpatrick, is off to a slow start. He looked a little uncomfortable, to say the least. Meanwhile, a young rookie that so many had written off, Mekhi Sargent, in his first-ever NFL preseason game looked the part.

Sargent clearly outplayed the more experienced Hill. Now, that can be attributed to who was on the field for the Falcons defense while both guys were playing, but it should be evident to everyone watching that Sargent, though he may not make the Titans roster, deserves to have a job somewhere.

There’s no need to throw Brian Hill off of this Tennessee Titans roster yet, but as you may have noticed, this team has done a lot of roster shuffling over the past week. Brian Hill was trending in the wrong direction for a couple of days, but with two preseason games remaining he still has plenty of time to prove that he needs to be on this roster.
