35. . . . Brian Hill, running back. 25. player

Tennessee Titans running back Brian Hill, fifth season

After entering the league as a fifth-round draft choice in 2017, Brian Hill sandwiched an 11-carry, six-game run with the Cincinnati Bengals between two stints with the Atlanta Falcons. His first produced another 11 carries before he was waived in October of that year and eventually returned as a member of the practice squad (which is where Cincy found him). His second lasted for three seasons.

In all, Hill has a modest 45-game resume where he tallied 982 yards on 209 carries, but on Tennessee’s roster, where he figures to serve in a rotation that will include Derrick Henry and a much-improved Darrynton Evans, Hill will have an opportunity to catch opposing defenses off guard rather routinely.

What some of you are thinking is obvious. You guys don’t even have Hill making the roster, but he will. The Titans figure to keep four or five running backs, and if keeping four is the play, Hill is simply a better option than Jeremy McNichols.

He and Evans will almost certainly be the ‘lightning’ to Derrick Henry’s ‘thunder’ in 2021.
