Precautions are one thing. Serious injuries are another. It wouldn’t be training camp if we didn’t take time to discuss who was on the field and who wasn’t. As the Tennessee Titans took the field for yet another practice during training camp, there were a few absences, some more notable than others.

Let’s not take a ton of time here. Let’s dive into some of the guys that were absent and toss a few ideas back and forth about each of them.

Several well-known Tennessee Titans miss the team’s ninth practice of camp.

Prior to another practice session, the Tennessee Titans made us all aware of a roster move as they announced that they had agreed to terms with offensive lineman Jordan Roos after they had also made the decision to place wide receiver Cody Hollister on the team’s injured reserve.

The decision on Hollister is unfortunate but shouldn’t come as a surprise as the six-foot-four, 216-pound wideout was unfortunately carted off the field to end his participation in Friday’s practice. Here are a few notes on some other guys who were missing on Saturday:

Nate Davis: Possible rest day

Jeffery Simmons: Possible rest day

Denico Autry: Possible rest day

A.J. Brown: With Hollister no longer on the team, several young guys are getting chances to make names for themselves. A.J. Brown‘s absence on Saturday gave them yet another opportunity. This is probably an attempt to get him some rest though. Nothing’s been reported about any injuries.

Julio Jones: This is one of the guys that people are paying the most attention to. With Julio Jones‘s injury history, it’s hard not to be concerned, but even though he hasn’t been on the playing field since Monday, this one’s being treated like a precaution.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: This one can probably be chalked up to being a rest day as there’s been no indication that Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is dealing with any injuries.

Geoff Swaim: It’s been a while since we’ve seen Geoff Swaim. It was July as a matter of fact. This one could be a real reason to ask what’s going on.

Ben Jones: Jones sat out of both the Friday and Saturday practice sessions. This could be one to monitor.

Harold Landry III: After leaving practice early on Tuesday, Harold Landry III also sat out on Wednesday but returned on Friday and sat out again on Saturday. As a potential starter, this is another name to keep tabs on.
