Before we all go any further and before we state anything that will annoy us all, let’s get something established, we won’t spend a ton of time on how bad the Tennessee Titans pass rush was in 2020 or force-feed you the stats we’ve all seen hundreds of times.

We can skip that part of the discussion right? We all get it. Tennessee couldn’t get to the quarterback and teams threw the ball all over the field on them seemingly at will.

How about we just take a break and discuss something that would fall under the category of being a little more positive? Have you heard? Titans fans have gotten some good news about their favorite team. The plan may be working!

Following the first padded practice of Tennessee Titans training camp, the defensive line was all the rage, and folks, that’s exactly what fans of this team and the media that cover them have been waiting to hear.

The Tennessee Titans defensive line is a reason for optimism in 2021.

With Ryan Tannehill being the unquestioned leader of this Tennessee Titans offense, the tone was set early. QB1 intends to challenge the guys on the offensive side of the ball as well as the guys on the other side. It’s all about friendly competition and making this team better at every given opportunity.

The defense has heard the challenge from the fans and media all offseason, and now, they’re hearing it at practice. Let’s just say that they’ve responded and done so in a mighty way. The secondary is forcing turnovers. The defensive line is wreaking havoc. Things are coming together for Tennessee’s front. They were all the rage during the Titans’ first practice session in pads, a session that doubled as Tennessee’s sixth practice session of training camp.

It appears this Denico Autry acquisition was a wise idea. Take a look at some of the highlights as Titans Twitter has had no shortage of action.

The secondary has improved. This Kristian Fulton guy is as good as we thought he was (and now he’s healthy). Jackrabbit Jenkins is a beast. Caleb Farley is back on the field.

Now, with the defensive line finding its chemistry and hitting its stride, we can focus on one of those final pieces to the puzzle. What happens when the Tennessee Titans get Bud Dupree back on the field? We’ve seen the lights and the cameras, but fear not. There has been plenty of action at Titans training camp as well.
