The Tennessee Titans can never have enough offensive linemen.
By now, you’ve probably already concluded that the Tennessee Titans have their starting offensive line figured out already. Who doesn’t know that, right?
Taylor Lewan is the starting left tackle. Rodger Saffold is the left guard. Ben Jones is the anchor at center. Nate Davis and whoever wins the battle at right tackle between Kendall Lamm and Dillon Radunz will hold things down as the right guard and right tackle respectively. Tennessee need only figure out who their depth pieces are, but here are a couple of other things to consider.
Aaron Brewer, someone who is considered to be someone that was supposed to challenge for a roster spot, is on Tennessee’s injured reserve, and Ty Sambrailo, yet another guy who was supposed to challenge for a roster spot, was just activated from the team’s PUP (physically unable to perform list) on August 2nd. Don’t be shocked if Tennessee fishes in the waiver wire’s pool once final cuts are made.
If they do, Colts interior lineman Will Fries is intriguing. The Colts have some interesting guys on offense that appear to be hanging out on the bubble (OT Julién Davenport, WR Mike Strachan, and WR Dezmon Patmon), but with the need to clear holes in the Titans’ running game for Derrick Henry and the need to keep Ryan Tannehill upright, someone like Fries would be the way to go.
