3 Tennessee Titans who might be disappointments in 2021
Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley
When the first full week of August began, the Tennessee Titans made an announcement. We may be past the anxiety that has surrounded the 22nd-overall selection of the 2021 NFL Draft, Caleb Farley. He was promoted to the training camp’s active roster from the Non-Football Injury list. That’s huge.
It wasn’t even a week ago that we were asking questions about whether or not Farley would be available for the first game of the Titans’ regular-season schedule. Now, the vibe is different. Now, there’s a sense that Farley may be able to get some work during the preseason slate of games. There isn’t a fan of this team on Planet Earth that isn’t happy to hear that news.
Make no mistake about it though. Like it or not, the phrase ‘injury prone’ follows Caleb Farley now. 2017 brought an ACL injury. His recent back surgery is a concern, and even though he fell to the Titans at the bottom half of the draft, after seeing so many first-rounders that this team has taken get off to slow starts, Jeffery Simmons and Corey Davis for example, this is a selection that pokes at your fear compass if you love the Tennessee Titans.
He could be very good for this team, but in all honesty, Farley’s selection has a little bit of bust potential too.
