Comments from Tennessee Titans’ Kevin Byard
Nearly three years ago on Monday Night Football versus the Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard intercepted a pass in the endzone and ran to the star on the 50-yard line to celebrate.
That was the moment where he went from a third-round pick playing out of his mind, to become a player that was a clear rallying point and emotional leader for the defense.
The Titans eventually made him the highest-paid safety in the NFL (at the time) and named him team captain. He is a fan favorite and even after a down year in 2020 there is a lot for Byard to brag about.
Since 2017, he has had more interceptions than any safety and he has more interceptions than anyone except for Xavien Howard. He is still one of the best defensive backs in the NFL and he has been a starter longer than anyone else on the Tennessee Titans defense.
So when he speaks it is important to listen to what he has to say. Luckily for Tennessee Titans fans, he had a lot of good things to say today when he stood in front of reporters after the third practice of training camp.
His comments weren’t limited to defense, but this list has to start with the most important opinion that Byard dropped in his comments.
