Ranking Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill versus AFC South peers
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is still the AFC South’s best.
You can use the eyeball test, stats, or the good old-fashioned win-loss total. Ryan Tannehill is better than his AFC South counterparts. He’s sturdier and more mentally tough than Carson Wentz. He isn’t as jaded or as distracted as Deshaun Watson. He isn’t a newbie in this NFL game like Trevor Lawrence.
Tannehill is battle-tested. He has the division’s best offensive supporting cast. He has the AFC South’s best coaching staff leading him from the sideline. Everything’s setting up to be a season to remember for the Tennessee Titans. This could be a very special year for Mr. Tannehill.
In 32 games with 30 starts since joining the franchise, he’s led Tennessee to a 20-10 record. Those numbers include four playoff game appearances. He’s tallied 51 touchdowns versus only 15 interceptions while racking up 516 completions on 767 attempts en route to 6,561 passing yards. He’s even scored 12 rushing touchdowns. Again, those numbers include what he’s done in the postseason.
Expect more of the consistent play that we’ve seen from him in the past. This will be a magical year for Ryan Tannehill, and that should make you smile if you’re a Tennessee Titans fan.
