Tennessee Titans carry 14 linebackers into camp

As it stands now, it appears that, beyond the shadow of any doubt, that Bud Dupree will begin his first training camp with the Tennessee Titans on the PUP (physically unable to perform list). That’s a bummer, but it shouldn’t surprise anyone. He tore his ACL in Week 12 versus the Baltimore Ravens and was placed on season-ending injured reserve the following day.

If there’s any good news in that, it’s this. The Titans expect the 82.5-million-dollar man to be present for the beginning of the season, maybe. that means there’s an opportunity for one of those guys seen on the bubble to really make some noise and surprise the coaches.

If we were to wager, many of us would say the Titans keep four inside linebackers and five outside guys right? So, who do you have your money on? Let’s take a guess. Let’s say that Jayon Brown, Rashaan Evans, Monty Rice, and David Long are your inside guys. That puts Harold Landry, Rashad Weaver, Ola Adeniyi, and Derick Roberson on the outside.

Bud Dupree is also in and on the team (when he’s ready), but don’t rule out someone beginning the season on the roster in his place until he’s removed from the PUP. Wyatt Ray, B.J. Bello, Jan Johnson, Justin March, and Tuzar Skipper are here too, and they aren’t coming to camp with plans of being left off of the roster.
