Tennessee Titans DT Naquan Jones

What’s that? You’re looking for sub-radar prospects? How about one of the rookies on the Tennessee Titans roster that didn’t even get drafted? Naquan Jones was one of those guys that quite a few pundits thought would hear his name called on Day 3 of the most recent selection meeting, but at the close of seven rounds, none of the 32 NFL teams had scribbled his name on a draft card.

Talk about a humbling experience, but guys like Jones don’t just sit around and wallow in misery. They grow these chips on their shoulders and decide that they’re going to make life unbearable or anyone that they line up across from, especially if they play on defense.

In 39 career appearances at the collegiate level with the Michigan Spartans, this six-foot-four and 340-pound monster racked 77 tackles, 14.5 for a loss, and two sacks. He’s a better run defender than a pass rusher right now, but he’s made for Tennessee’s 3-4 scheme.

If you’re looking for a dark horse to make the roster, this may be the guy to get behind. You can expect to hear a lot about him as we move through training camp.
