Tennessee Titans fans have asked these questions a lot.

3. Is this defense finally ready to compete at an elite level?

The goal was to improve the pass rush and stop everyone from throwing the ball all over the field. They added help at the cornerback position in free agency and in the NFL Draft. They’ve found some pass rushers and EDGE help, but again, if someone gets hurt, this defense will look a lot like it did a season ago.

The coaching staff will need to find a balance of getting the new guys, both young and old some work, and finding some unknowns with talent who will be respectable go-to options should anything happen.

4. Who are those depth pieces on the roster?

As you’ve probably figured out, depth will be the name of the game for the Titans in 2021. Let’s be frank. We’ve already identified the starters (or the guys who will compete for starting roles). We’ve figured out who most of the reserves are, but two or three of those guys that we aren’t talking about might be the difference between winning one or two more games or morphing back into a newer version of the team that frustrated us more often than we would have liked in 2020.

5. Should this team make one more big signing before Week 1?

There have been rumors and thoughts about the Tennessee Titans maybe adding one more difference-maker, Richard Sherman for instance, but that’s commonplace for teams that are right on the cusp.

Right now, it appears that Tennessee is fine with what they have. Another move could be made. You never know, but for now, it appears the best course of action is to hold on to some of that cap money and explore a few options if a crisis occurs.
