Tennessee Titans defensive line (6)

Who made the cut: Denico Autry, Teair Tart, Jeffery Simmons, Abry Jones, Larrell Murchison, Naquan Jones

Like the offensive line, this is a position where the Tennessee Titans focus on depth in case of injuries.

When healthy, the defensive front should include Denico Autry and Jeffery Simmons in 4-3 personnel, and Autry, Simmons, and Teair Tart when they go with bigger, three-man looks. For what it is worth, Tart has been a great find for Jon Robinson and company and he looks like a guy with next-level power and agility.

Abry Jones is a plug-and-play replacement behind Autry and people are sleeping on how helpful he can be if he makes this team. Tart’s backup in those three-man looks should be NaQuan Jones.

Another UDFA on this list, Jones is a very talented interior lineman who just didn’t develop much at Michigan State. In Tennessee, he will get a chance to hone his skill and focus on doing one thing really well as he takes on more and more responsibility down the line.

That leaves Larrell Murchison. This is a crucial training camp for him because there were some flashes early for him as a versatile defensive lineman, but the entire defense was such a trainwreck last year that it is hard to tell if he was making any impact after the midpoint of the season.

If he doesn’t take a step forward early, he is going to be at risk of losing his spot on the roster.
