Tennessee Titans 53-man roster projection, July edition
The Tennessee Titans defense is looking better by the day.
The specialists (3): The Tennessee Titans enter training camp with two kickers and punters, but Tucker McCann and Brett Kern will win the jobs over Blake Haubeil and James Smith. Morgan Cox, the long-time veteran, will maintain his role as long-snapper.
Defensive line (6): Jeffery Simmons, Denico Autry, Larrell Murchison, Teair Tart, Abry Jones, and Naquan Jones
Thoughts: While Titan Sized will admit that we’ve tried to work guys both on and off of this list, we’ve all seen who the coaches like, and this group of names looks better every time you look at it.
Linebackers (8): Harold Landry, Bud Dupree, Rashad Weaver, Jayon Brown, Rashaan Evans, Monty Rice, David Long Jr., Olasunkanmi Adeniyi
Thoughts: It’s going to be fun watching rookie Monty Rice grow in this defense with all of this talent around him to learn from.
Cornerbacks (6): Caleb Farley, Janoris Jenkins, Kristian Fulton, Chris Jackson, Breon Borders, Elijah Molden
Thoughts: Caleb Farley has a chance to prove 21 other NFL teams made a mistake by passing on him, and Kristian Fulton looks to bounce back after spending most of his rookie year injured. This figures to be a much better unit than they were a season ago.
Safeties (4): Kevin Byard, Amani Hooker, Matthias Farley, Dane Cruikshank
Thoughts: This is beginning to look more and more like a unit that’s already been established. Expect some competition at safety during camp.
