Tennessee Titans fans will know how good Caleb Farley is very early.
As everyone, even the most casual of a football fan, knows, the NFL stands for National Football League, but for some of the guys that pass through, NFL could stand for ‘not for long’. The game has a way of chewing people up and spitting them out, and for the eight members of the Tennessee Titans‘ most recent draft class, their hope (and the hope of the fans) is that these guys become something special.
There may not be more pressure on anyone than Tennessee’s first-round draft choice, Caleb Farley. Just imagine the pressure he’s under. One minute, you’re a star with the Virginia Tech Hokies. The next, you’re sitting out because of COVID-19 concerns. The very next, you’re labeled as injury prone and watching your draft stock decrease.
Farley wound up being taken in Round 1, just later than everyone thought he would. Now, in year one, he’ll be tasked with guarding the best receiver on some of the game’s best teams. We’ll know how good he is very quickly.
In the meantime, here are his five most interesting matchups during the 2021-2022 season. Barley missing the list is a battle of two promising rookies, his Week 17 tilt with Jaylen Waddle. Then again, he could draw DeVante Parker in that one.
