Tennessee Titans Rookies With Most to Prove – No. 1: Caleb Farley

The Titans let the board fall to them in the first round and took Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley with the No. 22 overall pick. Farley is a talented player, there’s no debating that, but there’s a reason he fell to the backend of the first round.

First and foremost, Farley hasn’t played a snap since 2019, as he opted out of the 2020 season. Secondly, he’s struggled with injuries, including a back surgery earlier this year. He told the media that NFL teams will see it’s not an area of concern, but back injuries aren’t anything to mess around with, especially at such a young age.

When Farley is healthy, however, he’s a top-tier cornerback. hauling in six interceptions in just two seasons with the Hokies, including four 2019. He also totaled 56 tackles and 19 defended passes during his two college seasons.

First-round picks always have the most to prove and Farley is no exception to that rule. On top of being a first-round pick, however, he is also going to prove that his back injury won’t slow him down and he’ll be that same player he was at Virginia Tech in 2018 and 2019.

Caleb Farley is the Tennessee Titans’ rookie with the most to prove but every rookie has something to prove when they step out on the field. I went with these players because of the circumstances that surround them (Weaver’s legal issues and Farley’s injury).

Hopefully, these rookies come out swinging and prove that the Tennessee Titans made the right decision in drafting them.
