The Tennessee Titans rookies have much to prove in 2021.

The Tennessee Titans drafted eight players in the 2021 NFL Draft and have high hopes for them. Even though sometimes it takes players a bit to get adjusted to the NFL, these three Titans rookies are out to prove they were worthy of their draft selection for one reason or another.

The Titans drafted three offensive players and five defensive players and the need was there on both sides. Losing three of their top weapons in free agency meant the Titans needed help on offense and the defense struggled last year, making it a top priority in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Let’s take a look at the three Titans rookies who are out to prove themselves the most this year.

Tennessee Titans Rookies With Most to Prove – No. 3: Rashad Weaver

Rashad Weaver probably wouldn’t have made this list initially but due to his legal issues, the pressure will be on for him this season — Assuming he’s able to play, that is. Weaver was charged with assaulting a woman and the news came to light just days after the Titans drafted him.

If Weaver is able to take the field this year, the Titans will be counting on him to help their defense. He had a promising three-year career at Pittsburgh, totaling 109 tackles (34 for loss) to go along with 17 sacks. This past year he had 34 tackles (14 for loss) and 7.5 sacks. With that kind of production, it’s no wonder the Titans took him in the fourth round.

Weaver’s NFL career is off to a horrible start and he has to prove when he takes the field that he was worthy of joining the Titans. If he can be the pass-rushing threat that he was at Pitt, the Titans will be glad they made this pick.
