Those first two Tennessee Titans games are sure to set a tone.

Week 1: vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Titans have a home opener for the first time since 2017. Will they take advantage of that? It’ll be a tough task.

The Arizona Cardinals have a high-powered offense that averaged over 25 points per game in 2020. The team also added rookie Rondale Moore and veteran A.J. Green to an already-solid receiving corps, however, the Titans have a rebuilt defense, having replaced several starters and added a couple of coaches.

The Titans’ offense should be able to put up points on the Arizona D, so this one could be a shootout. Give the home team the edge here in a close one though.

Prediction: Titans 31 Cardinals 27

Week 2: at Seattle Seahawks

Fresh off a hard-fought opener against an NFC West team, the Titans will fly across the country to immediately take on another tough NFC West team in Seattle. The Titans and Seahawks are both projected to be right around 9 wins in 2021, so this should be a great game.

The Hawks, like the Titans, prefer to win by running the ball and hitting the occasional bomb down the field. There are plenty of reasons not to be a fan of the Seattle defense, but it’s also difficult to get excited about the Titans defense trying to stop Russell Wilson. Due to the long west coast flight and a motivated Wilson, give Seattle the edge and a win in this one.

Prediction: Seahawks 24 Titans 16
