Tennessee Titans primetime matchups – No. 1: Kansas City Chiefs
This time last year, the Titans were motivated. They were coming off a loss in the AFC Championship Game to the Kansas City Chiefs (who went on to win the Super Bowl) and hoped to get back to that point the following season. While that goal wasn’t attained, the Titans are still a very good team and they’ll look to get their revenge on Kansas City when the two meet up in 2021.
Prior to that loss, the Titans had KC’s number. Not only that, but they found the most bizarre ways to beat the Chiefs. The unique history between these two teams could make for a fun primetime showdown but the more obvious reason as to why is that these are two of the best teams in the AFC. Why shouldn’t they be playing each other in primetime?
The Titans are the hosts for this game against the Chiefs too, which tips the scale even more in their favor. Patrick Mahomes coming to Nissan Stadium for a Sunday night showdown (or Monday night maybe) would get Titans fans in the stands and they’d hope for a different result than what transpired the last time these two teams met up in a primetime affair.
When it comes to games on the Tennessee Titans’ 2021 schedule that need to be televised for the entire nation to see, Titans vs Chiefs is No. 1 on the list.
A tough schedule is ahead for the Titans but that means they should have their fair share of opportunities to play in primetime in 2021.
